Marsho v0.3 Released — A Fresh Alternative to WordPress Is Getting Closer!
Things have been moving at lightning speed since we shipped v0.2, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what’s new. We’ve squashed bugs, polished features, imagined new ideas, built those ideas, and then squashed the bugs they brought with them too. Now we’re edging incredibly close to our first true alpha release of Marsho CMS — just in time for Christmas!
The feedback from early explorers of Marsho—whether through this site or the preview video—has been both humbling and energising. What started as a personal CMS to power my own website is quickly growing into something much bigger: a modern, intuitive solution for people who feel bogged down or boxed in by the constant frustration of WordPress.
Your encouragement has pushed us forward, and today we’re thrilled to introduce Marsho v0.3.
What’s New in Marsho v0.3 (Pre-Alpha)
This version is still pre-alpha, so expect a few bumps along the way, but the core of the future release is now in place. Here’s what you can try out right now:
- Featured images for pages and articles
- Customisable form layouts — choose boxed or unboxed styles
- New content blocks for inserting text or images directly inside a paragraph
- Fully customisable headers and footers — set your logo placement and navigation alignment however you like
- Multiple page layout options for more flexible site design
- Updated visual icons for a cleaner, modern look
Build Your Own Marsho Site in Minutes — And It’s Free Forever
The biggest milestone in this release: you can now register for Marsho CMS and spin up your own website in minutes. During the pre-alpha stage, all sites will live under a bymarsho.com subdomain — and while we’re still in this early phase, Marsho is completely free.
But here’s the best part: It will stay free. Forever. This is our way of saying thank you for helping shape Marsho into a lightweight, intuitive, genuinely enjoyable CMS — something that truly stands apart from WordPress.
Try Marsho v0.3 and Tell Us What You Think
We’d love for you to jump in, build something, and share your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable as we move toward our first full release.
Thanks for reading — and thanks for being part of this journey!
